Hello All FS friends,
I wanted to share my journey that started in Jan 2018. I was hospitalized in Dec for kidney stones. I was asked to get on scale to get my weight. I did not want to due to my embarrassment of how much I weighed. 300 lbs. I wanted to cry as I kept myself in denial. My husband was there and I just wanted to break down and cry.
I decided then I need to do something, I was not sure what it would be but I knew I would do something. I researched and found many diets and really did not know what would be best for me. I had already done weight watchers. counting calories working out and nothing seemed to work. I decided to see a Dr. I went in and was weighed 289. I had lost 11 Lbs. on my own but I think it was stress.
I had my blood work done and spoke to the Dr about my HBP and failure to lose. He told me about this diet and it is not just weight loss it is a new way of eating. ( Ketogenic ) WOE . since that day I have never felt better in my life. I have lost a total of 71 pounds this year. I have also found a lot of support on here with this. I have been learning how to cook my own bread and have continued to lose even eating the bread.
I had one bad week since starting this I gained a pound . That was a good thing it taught me a lesson. I have to eat this way for life if I want to be healthy. I enjoy FS and wanted to thank you all for advice, your words of wisdom and never making me feel bad about myself. You guys are the best! I am trying to pay it forward and support and encourage others who need it. My Journey is not over I still need to lose more weight and hope to continue till I reach my goal. Thank you all again.
