I suffer from PCOS. I didn't know what it was until my 30's. I've always had thinning hair, ovarian issues, and weight problems. My skin was at an all time bad in 2013 and I hated looking at myself. I weighed exactly the same in both of these pictures. My weight has fluxuated 20-30 pounds up and down in between. However, I did make one major change. I went vegan. I have been mostly vegan for 5 years. Some believe vegans are all sickly, skinny people. Well, dear.... Oreo's are vegan. I just choose not to eat like a rabbit. I think initially I truely believed going vegan would cure everything for me. My hair and skin, weight, and depression. I was in a toxic environment with a toxic past. I dont want to say vegan isn't a good change and should always be considered, but keep in mind that only you can make good choices for yourself. Look at me! I'm 235lbs and vegan. Food is not the problem, its emotional health 100%. I finally stepped off the cliff and dove in head on to deal with my toxicity. And being vegan cleared my face up ;)

Thank you!! It's not just me. I've tried everything short of giving up, not an option today. I am in a Iimbo now,waiting... It's sure nice to see someone who is likeminded. Now I know the definition of crazy, being singular in a copycat world. Good luck!!

I have PCOS too, you give me hope for my skin! I've found the biggest difference with PCOS is watching sugars and carbs as well as endocrine disruptors (opting for frozen over canned, low MSG, etc.). Going to try to cut out more animal products now though as my skin is still a mess, thank you for sharing!

menopause took away my PCOS mostly, but it did effect my weight goals drastically. It takes a whole lot more work to get even 1 pound to go away with that condition. Grats on your success, and ridding the toxic things that also weigh a person down. I am still working on emotional toxins, and slowly succeeding. It can be a battle worth fighting.

I battled PCOS for years too, until uterine cancer caused them to take out the whole production line. However, that missing portion of the whole endocrine system has it's own struggles. You look great! Keep up the healthy living :-)

I have PCOS too and didn’t start feeling the side effects until my mid 30’s after my child was born. I have struggled to maintain a happy weight and have found that switching to all natural products/avoiding or limiting starches/bad carbs/sugars/alcohol have helped to control PCOS. You need to do what’s best for you. Keep up the good work!

I was a vegetarian in my 20s and even lived in India for a while. It's wonderful for your health and so liberating. My husband eats you know what so..... It's so difficult to go back much less vegan. Even though several days a week I follow veg. Day. And I loveit !
