Yes, and one will lose weight with limited calories. I am not starving now. Am I eating chips? Fritos? Butter? Mayonnaise? Fattening salad dressing? Cake? Pie? Brownies? Sugary drinks? NO! If one eats sensibly one can lose. And people who are able to go to the gym every day need to go, when they get physically unable, perhaps due to pain issues - they will sure wish they could do it...
