So yesterday was a calorie and exercise success.

I got back my BMF from my hubby, so now I have some idea of how many calories I'm actually burning, which is great! It gives me a bit more accuracy when I'm looking at how much I ate relative to how much I burned.

So I did a walk to the office, it's only 1.2km, but with my stop at Starbucks for a latte, was abotu 24 minutes, and I was sweating! Kinda annoying, but it's what happens when I get out of shape, I sweat like crazy!

So while this morning's breakfast was not that much of a success, lunch went well, and the snacks I packed are healthy, so it's a better start to the day. I have to admit that my breakfast was a function of just eating right after I woke up (which might sound stupid, but I usually shower and have about a half an hour from waking up until I eat), so waking up, tossing some clothes on and heading down to the hotel buffet for breakfast wasn't easy, and I was slightly grumpy, as my hubby will attest. One of the saving graces was that the cinnamon bun that I split with my hubby didn't taste nearly as good as it did last time we were at a similar hotel, so that means that I won't be craving them for the rest of the week, which is a small miracle, given last time I had 2 of them, along with eggs and sausage for breakfast!

Other than that, we're hoping to do some walking - i.e. walk to dinner, instead of driving. There are a bunch of good restaurants about 2K from the hotel, so it would be a 20-30 minute walk, and then we'd eat, and then the same walk back. So a way to integrate exercise into our regular routine, which I think is good!

The gym at the hotel also looks nice - it's got 2 treadmills and a recumbant bike (and an elliptical which is out of order), plus a TV on the wall, so it's basically like our basement at home, which is good, because then we have no real excuse not to work out, even if it is too hot to walk outside.

At any rate, I should get back to work...
