I feel misshapen and horrible.

I'm dreading Thursday's official weigh in. I'm fairly certain I've gained.

I am sure you look amazing! I am down a almost 60 and folks are telling me how good I look and all I can think of is: Wow if I look good this bad, now bad did I look before!!!! But then I go to my fall back mantra: It may not be a pretty body, but it is a good body. Then I list all the the things it has done for me: Marathon, 12 day Canadian canoe adventure, climbed Mt Washington, new love of kick boxing, and it is very strong. Maybe, and not being any sort of an expert on dismorphic disorder, if you to listed the good points about what your body can do then you'll start to see it as the good & beautfiful body it has become. Maybe.

Body image is a difficult thing for most woman. Losing weight just makes you a smaller version of what you were originally. If you don't exercise and can, start. A combo of strength/circuit training and cardio can transform you body. With proper eating you can become lean (lose fat, because you can be at a low weight and still carry too much fat). I love Oxygen Magazine because they offer great recipes and articles on getting lean and healthy. It's about becoming the best you can be for yourself. It can take up to a year or more before your brain catches up with what your body looks like. If you feel your still flabby than start an exercise program and eat clean to help you lower body fat. Set goals to make you feel good about yourself. You should be proud of what you have accomplished.
