good morning fatsecret family members! Before I used to ride bike to almost everywhere. it was something like 4-5 years ago. I thought I am the same, I have the same energy and I also forgot about gained 30kg :( I bought a bike to ride to work basically my working place is 25mins far from my home by bike. today I tried for the first time, it was so hard I couldn't ride more than 10 mins. I was too tired my legs were hurting I couldn't breath well. I felt so sad I tried more but I couldn't so I parked it in somewhere I know and i took a cab for the rest of my way. I will not give up! I'll be healthy as before I promise to myself! we can do it.

biking is one of my favorites, but it does require getting used to time in the saddle. I suggest finding a flat route you can take for leisure until you are ready. 25 minutes shouldn't be too bad but you have to build up to it. Find a way to make it enjoyable first before you push yourself too hard.

I totally understand, I'm in the same boat, I used to ride up to 15 miles a day one way, I was in shape and doing good, had energy to spare. When I got married and had kids I stopped gained about 100lbs.. Ive bike road two times in the week, first time I tried for 3 miles, I did it but my heart was pounding and I could barely walk. Needless to say my second ride was only a mile.
I have learned to take your time, don't burn yourself out in a few days because then you won't want to do it again.
Hang in there.. And keep on pushing yourself to do a little more everyday.
