OK. So an announcement: tuna is my new best friend. I ate a LOT more protein than usual today, and also cut carbs down a bit. The grandparents packed us off with some food for our pantry, which seemed terrifying in prospect to me, but low and behold, not all of it was horrendously fattening! They actually gave us what appears to be at least a month's supply of *CANNED TUNA.* So, canned tuna it is. I had 2 cans of it today.
Note to self: check on/compare carb content for crackers versus breads.
