This is always one of my favorite parts of the complimentary breakfast at many of the hotels in my home state of Texas! 😀

AdaOke, they are delicious. I just have to make sure I'm not eating too many at a time! ...lol. But I am partial to their shape. Not many other states can pull this off!

Jade Jenkins, that was almost my reaction the first time I found out they made waffles in the shape of Texas! And they taste just as great as they look!

Lol that’s so cute. I was wondering why it looked that way , then I realized , you said Texas.

Lol, Najwa! Yes, many of the hotels here in Texas have waffle irons that produce Texas-shaped waffles. Some pleaces give you the choice between the conventional round ones, or Texas ... guess which one I always choose!

You're right, AdaOke. Other states ciuld do it, but some may not be as recognizable. Although maybe Rhode Island would be better for caloric intake ... lol.

DJSingh, you are correct. But technically it is a form of bread, so it could be Texas Toast with syrup! ... lol

I grew up around the Port Arthur area, and I've lived in Pasadena as well. I also lived in Austin for five years while I was in college at UT.
