Diario de Kygeekgirl, 28 ago. 08

This is day 3 and I'm feeling better each day. Today my mom and I had a girls day out and we went to the mall and out to eat. We ended up going to the golden coral so I could make my own salad and put what I wanted in it.

Now..... any other time I go to the Coral...I totally skip the salad! but today.. I was behaved. I wanted to eat all that other crap...but I didn't. I had a reasonably sized salad, then went for some cooked veggies and drank a large unsweet tea and I'm so proud of myself for not breaking down and eating like a usually do. It was hard though, with everyone else beside of me eating all that good yummy stuff, but I know that in the end, I'll feel so much better not eating it and getting to buy all kinds of cute clothes!

that is awesome!!! sucha hard thing to do- i was in the same boat last week! but you walk away feeling proud of yourself and you will know that it will all ad up eventually. A good saying that i have been repeating lately is "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels" Also- if you ever have a craving that just wont quit, try a scoop of unsalted, natural peanut butter. It kind of satisfies cravings for me, and it is great for extra protien! :-)

You go, girl! Buffets are the hardest for me. I tend to avoid them for that reason. We are sooo very proud of you!

dill pickles have always done the trick for me for a snack. 0 WW pts or relatively harmless atkins-wise. You get to crunch and chew (which usually when I am snacking it is just b/c I am used to stuffing my face) and the vinegar-y taste cuts the hunger pangs or the snack attack. A spear or two usually satisfies my mind, mouth and tummy!

Good job! As a former Golden Corral junkie, I understand the sacrifice you made--there was a time in my life when I would smacked my mama for one of their rolls with that honey butter spread. Good lord it's good! I'm still at the point where I am unable to go there, though I know they do have some healthy choices, but, oh, those lovely rolls! Way to face the challenge bravely and walk away victorious!
