hmmm, my carbs are too high for Atkins. If I've read the Induction phase correctly, I'm trying to go no higher than 20 carbs daily, with 12-15 of those from "foundation vegetables". Looks like I need to re-evaluate my salad dressing and my lunch choices. Any suggestions are welcome! Treen

A couple of low carb dressings I have found (and enjoy) are T. Marzetti's Asiago Peppercorn Dressing (2 tblspoons is either 1 or 2 net carbs) and a new one by Natually Fresh Jalpeno ranch... 2 tblspoons is 1 net carb! Avoid balsalmic vinegar...it is higher in carbs than plain ol white vinegar. I like spinach just fine... so I have about 1.5 cups in the morning... I microwave it for 1 min and then add 1-1.5 oz of cheese...microwave 30 secs more...add two poached eggs and that's my breakfast...kinda like a spinach quiche without crust!

I use red wine vinegar and olive oil. Tastes mighty good and the olive oil adds calories and fat to your daily totals! an€d remember it is 20 grams of net carbs, not total if you are following the new guidelines!

I looked at your diet calendar for today and I would stop eating the hot dogs, the ceasar salad dressing, and keep your use of aspartame to 3 or less packets a day. I think that will help a lot! Good luck, please let me know if I can help, and feel free to look at my food diary if you would like!

I had to cut out the artificial sweeteners and diet pops, even though they say 0 carbs they generally count as 1 gram..per serving..and they add up really fast..I also found I had trigger foods of Atkins bars and jerky that were 3 to 5 net carbs and added up really fast..tomatoes too..have to be really careful of those. I'm keeping track of every NET carb and it is so hard to keep them below 20
