Peep, LowKey..or anyone who has gone through this...
Did you find your toughest nights were on the third and forth ones? Last night was miserable. No pain. Just all the soreness made it uncomfortable to get sleep. I slept maybe 30 minutes total. 😝 Soreness I can deal with without any pain med assistance.
I’ll be having a lot of water, fruit, and veg today. Also have to remove drainage so I think that’ll get me up and moving way more. Those things are a hassle.
And not to gross anyone out but also wondering if any of you all used miralax? With the anesthesia finally out of my system and not needing anything for pain, I should be fine now, but still having trouble.
With all my prior surgeries you think I’d remember how it all goes but I don’t. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Tubes removed. Post Op: 3 days out. I’m healing really well but I won’t be able to walk on the treadmill until next Thursday. Since the drainage tubes are removed the doctor wants me to not push anything. Weight @ Doctors: With full clothing, compression garment, and a good deal of swelling I’m sitting at 154.1. Doctor says when swelling subsides (in next couple of weeks) that he guesses I’ll be sitting at a 5-7 lbs loss from surgery. Pain about gone. Just feels like I’ve done a million crunches. No lifting kids or weights for 6 full weeks. No running or lower body cross training until then, either. Some incline work at slow pace should be okay in a couple of weeks. Next step: Arm lift in 10 weeks provided I heal well.

I can't help you with this. I only had my tonsils removed when I was young! I hope the post-surgery pain goes away soon!

I've used miralax. Start as directed but my Dr said if that didn't work use more often. The 3rd and 4th day after surgery was the worse for me. I hope you heal quickly

Thank you, Tatauu!💞 My Doctor said that today. Use it for a few days and if it doesn’t help they would prescribe something.

I’ve never had this exact surgery but for my ‘small’ surgeries like fat grafting, port removal, implant placement etc I found that there were a few days that were worse for me. Usually day 2&3 I think. I don’t take the meds, just Advil. I have insomnia so sleep has always been an issue for me, but I do remember that the first week was harder. It was easier after the drains were removed for sure. I’m lactose intolerant so I just ate some ice cream for my bowel issues lol.
