Went out for dinner yesterday. Chose the beer battered cod with fries instead of something healthy. It was very tasty. Ended up not being worth it though. Slept terribly and feel like I have a hangover today.

I don't blame you beer-battered fish is AWESOME! I am more of a halibut fan though. You know one thing I learned is you can have like almost 4 ounces of beer-battered fish for under 500 calories. It's when you add the tarter and the fries that it starts to really add up. So if you can go english style with some malt vinegar and lemon and just eat the fish, you could still feel like you are splurging a bit with out going overboard! :) Keep up the good work! I'm catching up...

Hey, thanks, I'll keep that in mind about the vinegar and lemon. It's just as good like that as it is with tarter sauce. I'm a little disappointed though. There were healthy things on the menu that I would have liked just as much. I was in the mindset to splurge though and that appears to mean having the most unhealthy calorie laden thing on the menu. Will have to work on that. It was super salty too. I think that's the main reason that I didn't sleep well and felt crummy the next day.
This isn't a competition or anything but... I'm keeping my eye on you. :p

Hahaha...being a guy you are already metabolically enhanced to lose more weight than me, definitely no contest. Yeah I am finding that more and more the foods that I used to enjoy eating out are definitely WAY too salty. Went out for mexican once and had a chalupa, not the best, but not the worst, tried some of the beans and OMG, it was like a salt lick. In the women's health I was reading today, I guess a lot of pro athletes envision themselves in their best form before making a food choice between what they want and what they know they should eat. I don't know if it works, but it might be worth a try next time your out?
