Chili's for dinner tonight. Took Mom out for her birthday and that was the best she could come up with. Oh well, at least it wasn't Cracker Barrel. Maybe I'm just a food snob now but I really don't like these chain places anymore.

Had the chicken Caesar salad. It was terrible. It should be a crime to screw up a simple salad that badly. Plus it would have been 700 calories if I had eaten the whole thing. Lame!

Couldn't agree more. I HATE visit my husband's relatives. They have this wonderful new house with a HUGE new kitchen and they eat OUT at places like Applebees. GAG!!! I even cooked for them one night to try and show them "real food". One of them showed their appreciation by sleeping through dinner. I give up.

It sure can be difficult during the holidays when we are around family. Applebee's... I think they just warm up stuff that they get pre-made. I could stay at home and eat out of a can. The only thing that I eat there is steak and salad. We Can Do It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We always make an event out of it and cook something nice when we have people over. I've made a minor hobby out of grilling and usually manage to make something interesting. Sometimes I think the only time my sister's family has a home cooked meal is when they come and visit us. Even then, they usually stop at McDonald's on the way up for either breakfast or lunch.
