Doing well. Started induction yesterday with a fast. It is not easy to do to say the least. But it is giving me the willpower to have more control over food the other days of the week. Plus one day of the week I won't be eating regularly so I'll definitely save on my grocery bill in time. I noticed how full everything looked when I kept going to get something to drink. Staying below 20g may be difficult - I may do 30g a day. I want to lose about twelve more pounds and maintain it. A gym membership isn't too far off but I have Christmas presents to buy in the next month. Someone asked about a lemon/cayenne fast - and deleted the question. Ask your doctor first. It will likely have a laxative-like effect as my little bit of cranberry juice w/o sugar did compared to just clear liquids last week w/o any juice. :) P.S. Once I reach my goal weight I will probably only do a fast every other month or so - or twice a year maybe. It is probably something one shouldn't do if one has weight issues long-term once one reaches a healthy weight. One should not do it at all unless they are under the strictest medical supervision. I have canceled the once a week 24 hour fasting group so no one falls into unsafe dieting patterns inadvertantly without medical supervision...

I think fasting once a week is fine while maintaining the weight. It will give you more freedom during a week to enjoy more choices and not gain the weight. You might want to try something like celery, cilantro and parsley juice with some lemon juice and then dilute it with water to the level you can drink it. It's not very pleasant in taste when it's strong, but your liver benefits more from that combination. Anyway, fasting is great when it becomes your weekly habit. You can do it!!!

just read your whole journal, so, sorry i know what you did fast with, how are you now? feel better? what did you drop in weight, or did you after the fast???
