Hi Katie, I have struggled with the same 20 pounds for 3 years. But this year I really am trying to stick to eating healthy. I also am a binge eater and at night I find that I am "Starving". To combat this I have been doing the following:
1) Print off a picture collage of a whole bunch of cute baby animals (llamas, puppies, turtles, etc) with the words STOP! STARE! SMILE! WALKAWAY! and put it on the fridge. "experts" say that looking at things that make you "smile & go awww" are suppose to help in releasing the feel good hormones...It works most days for me!
2) Drink a tall glass of water.
3) Brush your teeth. You are less likely to want to eat anything with that taste in your mouth.
4) Not sure if you are the praying type, but I've been trying to seek God and asking him to overcome my temptations.
Just take it one day at a time. Don't focus on the mistakes of yesterday or what the future may be. Focus on today only. God Bless You on your journey.
