Mint tea might help. Drink it hot. Or any kind of tea if you don't have mint. Have you been to the doc to make sure you don't have bronchitis or pneumonia?

No, I haven't been to the doctor :( I've been dealing with my kids being sick too. It's a pain trying to get an appt for myself around my husbands work schedule and the kids and everything since it's a 20 minute drive just to get to town where my doctor is.

Be careful, I work at the hospital in my town and there is a lot of stuff going around including pneumonia and bronchitis as wholefoodnut asked. It is hard to be on a diet when you are sick I understand completely. Take care of yourself.

One thing I've leaned is that in order to take care of your family you have to take care of yourself. You can't be there for them if your body and your psyche are not healthy. Just my thoughts. Been there not taking care of myself.

Thank you guys, I might see about going in today but if I do that it would have to be ER...but I don't know if this warrants an ER visit...

How about urgent care instead? my insurance treats it like a regular doctor visit as far as co-pays go.

That's crazy. The one I go to has really helped me and is walk in. When I get pneumonia it can go from nothing to almost no lung function in a matter of hours. My doc will squeeze me in if she's open but on a weekend or night it's urgent care.

Yea our urgent care used to be walk-in but just changed their policy it is ridiculous. So now my only weekend option is ER :( Also, my regular doctor has got a bunch of new people coming in because of all the new insurance stuff so he is pretty booked too. I can't seem to win.

Went to the ER and it is bronchitis :( So I got antibiotics, cough syrup w/ codeine, and naproxen so hopefully it will all kick in soon and I will be all better. The doctor said my throat looked horrible...
