Spousal Unit is away until Tuesday night. I do not do well without him. I get very anxious-I know what a baby! Last night I put blocks in all the windows. I am afraid I will just eat (and/or drink) until he gets back.

Still weigh 142 pounds! This is absolutely the longest I have been stuck-4 months? I pulled a groin muscle earlier in the week so did not run yesterday-it feels better all ready. Running is very hard on my hips-really flaring up but I do not want to stop. I think I need the boost to my metabolism badly. I hate getting old!!!!

Going to make appt. at a Women's Medical Group to see if I can get better treatment for hypothyroidism and perhaps perimenopause. I think that is why my weight loss has come to grinding halt.Thinking about looking into bioidentical hormones a la Suzanne Summers.

Weather is just amazing right now-not hot/not cold-warm sun, cool breeze and clear skies with high puffy clouds. Love it!

I think its a great idea to seek out some medical help. A Women's group sounds ideal for looking into perhaps some newer and better ideas on treating your hypothyroidism. That bioidentical hormone therapy does sound interesting. Oprah's doctor expert didn't seem to think much of it but gosh... the fact is other women are thriving on it, looking younger and feeling better. It certainly couldn'T hurt anything. I only know that it is of course "hormones" and some people like myself cannot take any form of hormones because of high cancer risk. I do take thyroid meds though and it is a "different" type of hormone.... so let me know what you find out. Take care of your hips girl! Running isn't for everyone. I was just reading an article that walking fast with the "proper form" can be better than running. I also realized I have not been using proper form on the treadmillo. I am very interested about the bioidentical homrone so be sure to let me know what you find out about those. I will ask my doc about them at my next appointment too.

I am going to get acupuncture for the hips-hey how is your back? Are you recovered-did you go to the doctor yet? I've heard about walking fast vs. running as being equivalent, I just don't see the same results when I walk. Maybe I should speed walk-it just feels so funny and I end up running. Oy! Yes, proper form is essential-leading with one's hips etc. I notice when I have proper form, I do not hurt as much. II'll let you know what comes of my docs visit.

Hey, with spousal unit gone you could break out some exercise DVDs that you would be embarrassed to do in front of him! :) Great idea to check in with the doctors and see what's going on. Walking is a good alternative to the running - if you can control yourself and stay walking! It's better than nothing!
