Squiggs, I just am not proud of myself right now. I've been slowly noticing that I feel deprived. Now I have to remember that I am eating to live and not living to eat. Please kick me in the you know where.

How about concentrating on the yummy things you can have. That is what I do when I feel deprived. Maybe you can substitute for things you feel deprived in. Give us some examples and I am sure we can come up with ideas/recipes...
Oh and I know about feeling deprived by the way. Eating low carb, gluten free AND low nickel and NO pork LOL

Wow Squiggs! I shouldn't feel deprived at all. But you asked what I feel deprived of...Well, sweets for one. Got to thinking about Valentine's day past and the chocolate and then it hit me that I had these Atkins bars and just didn't stop. I've been doing well unitl I slipped up.

You have just as much right to feel deprived, esp of stuff you used to love to eat. Have you tried to make chocolate with coconut oil and cocoa and sweetener? I can find the recipe if you are interested.

oop[s forgot the rest LOL
Melt the coconut oil to a liquid, add in cocoa powder and sweetener. Stir to combine and blend well.
Blend nuts into chocolate mixture (Optional)
Have chlled a metal bakeware lasagna or cake pan or pans in freezer for 10 minutes or so. Remove from freezer and line with waxed paper. Then pour mixture into chilled pan and spread to desired thickness.
Pop in refrigerator or freezer on level shelf and let sit 10 minutes or so. It will harden quickly and breaks with a snap.

White Chocolate Coconut Candy
1 1/2 TBLS of melted Cocoa Butter
1 TBLS of Coconut Oil
Few drops Fiber Fit or Davinci Vanilla Syrup
1/2 tsp Vanilla extract, or vanilla powder, if you use Davinci no need for the extract
1 tsp unsweetened coconut
Melt the Cocoa Butter first then add your Cocnut oil mix well. Add the sweetner, extract and then the unsweetened coconut. When mixed put in frigerator and let it harden. Before the candy got to hard I remixed it so the liquads did not seperate.
same site - and none of them give serving sizes LOL or carbs...

You want to know something funny? I craved chocolate till I made and ate some chocolate bark, now knowing I can have it makes me not crave it LOL. Cocoa is not my friend though (high in nickel) but I may have some sometimes for the special occassion.

Guess we always think the grass is greener on the other side or want what we think we can't have. It's great that you don't crave chocolate the way you used to. How do you do it with all your food limitations? You are one strong person. I admire you.

Well the gluten upsets my stomach and makes me anxious, the high carbs are terrible for me as a diabetic, and make me anxious and sleepy, the pork upsets my stomach terribly too, and if I eat high nickel then I get worse blisters on my hands and feet. So I really have no choice if I don't want to be tired, anxious, sick, constantly on the toilet and covered in blisters ROFL!
Makes it kinda easier knowing what happens if I slip...
