Diario de Wendy Armitage, 12 may. 14

Ok so I haven't been on here for a few reasons. I have let myself go completely off the rail, having the soft drink and the naughty junk food. I have fallen into my bad habits of not looking after myself and its showing. I'm not getting any positive encouragement from my boyfriend. In fact as soon as I mention one thing about my weight or the junk food/soft drink I have he's already blaming me. I'm sitting here right now typing this with both a can of coke and a bottle of water beside me on the table. I want to do this but I just lack the motivation and confidence to do so.

I don't think the medication for my depression is working anymore. I'm starting to have the feeling of annoyance towards everything again.

I just want to be me again. Sorry for the rant I just needed to gt this off my chest, and hopefully help me get back in the right direction.

exercise is great for depression. I have been there. You need to not listen to the "bad angel" that tells you not to exercise, force yourself to go. I don't go to the gym, I hate it, I go to dance classes, zumba, sh'bam, body combat. I have the co-ordination of an elephant but I love the fun and a full hour of cardio. You can do it. Enjoy the life you have. Pu the soft drinks away. I drink sparkling water with diet right cordial (tiny amount) satisfies the water requirements and the fizzy cravings.

You know diet can really affect your sense of well being and depression. For many, many nutrients and vitamins the first and number one symptom of being deficient is actually depression followed by irritability and anxiety. If you take better care of yourself you may just find that you are feeling much better about yourself and everyone else too!

Hey Wendy, hang in there. Suggest maybe to see your Doctor re medication for depression, if you feel it is not working. Don't beat yourself up. Tomorrow is a new day. Yesterday is in the past, it's done. Tomorrow we can all write a new page. The ending is up to us. Some exercise and a good diet really truly helps how you feel. There are folks who can help with setting you up with a good sustainable eating plan or exercise regime. We are here to help too!!! Accept where you are. One step forward, we can make better choices, choice by choice. :)

Thank you everyone for your kind words. I now have a cold to battle with. I'm slowly getting back into my healthy eating habits and i'm back into drinking plenty of water. I've cut down back to one can of coke a day. I have a long ahead of me to being myself again. but I know it will be worth it.

Hi Wendy - just read your post. I fell off the wagon in the last few weeks and know a little of how you're feeling. Last night I said to myself...that was a blip in the journey, and I forgave myself and then remembered how important it is to put ourself first through this journey. I also admire that you reached out for support...that is so important. Good to hear you are getting back on track. It's not how many times we fall, it's how many times we get back up..so well done!
