This weight plateau is a tough one. No one's fault but mine. Need to make changes.

When I was 5 or 6, my grandmother sent me to get eggs, she told me to shoo the hens off the nest rather than slide my hand under. Why? When it's cold out, the snakes like to crawl in to get warm. Well damn. Yesterday I found one. I hate those things. The one thing my grandmother did not tell me about was aggressive roosters. I walked out and a rooster chased me up against the coop. Seriously one of the most terrifying events of my life. The squawking, the flapping wings and the jumping trying to rake me with his spurs had me screaming and full on crying! Thankfully my dad heard the commotion. Grabbed that rooster and wrung its neck right there. Guess what we had for supper? Chicken and dumplings.

Have to get up before zero dark thirty tomorrow. It's a 5 hour drive to our grandson's hockey tournament. I believe this is the end of the season, but even if it's not, it's the last we'll go to. Gas is over $4. Makes for an expensive trip. J won't want to spend the night, so we'll drive home after after the tournament. So fast food here we come. I will convince myself to order a salad.
