When did my life turn into a daytime drama??
You know, this is the ONLY place I feel really comfortable talking about my 'real' life. Kinda sad I guess but for years I remained quiet, keeping my feelings and thoughts to myself. Thank you for being here:)
My daughter, Tia, called from work this morning after her 2nd doctor appointment. She's almost 19 weeks and so far the baby is fine though the placenta is at the bottom of her uterus, not an ideal spot. They took 8 viles of blood. Her lupus is alive and well. She's having serious breathing problems but her insurance isn't very good and her breathing medication costs her over 400$/month, on top of her other medications. Her doctor then gave her the bad news. She's extremely high risk so is being referred to a high risk specialist. My daughter is scared but because of the serious risk factor she may be able to get medicade. I'm hoping so.
This news is alarming, though I can't say I'm surprised. We won't know if she'll be advised to terminate the pregnancy until she see's the high risk specialist. Meanwhile her medical bills are piling up to an insane level already.
I wish I could be there...
Well, there's nothing I can do but wait and see. Think I'll make a pot of coffee and figure out what I'm doing today. It's been cold and grey and I'm just not good at cleaning in this kind of weather. Though, I should do something useful instead of worrying about something I can't do anything about.

Ruby, this is awful and I hope everything works out for the best. I am also glad you have this place to talk about things, it really does make a difference to get it out. Keep us up to date with your daughter and I will send positive energy out there for her.

Ruby, I am praying...I suspect that they will put her on bedrest. I am so sorry that you are unable to be there with her, but you are doing the best you can. Hang in there! Love you, Ruby!
