Does anyone else find that they're a pound or two heavier the day after a longer workout than usual? Invariably, this happens to me. I'm not talking about the plateaus people worry about when they're building muscle. I'm talking one day, 1-2 pounds. It's as if my sore muscles retain water.
At least I'm exercising again. This workplace wellness challenge was just the kick in the butt I needed.
Fixing lunch today was a victory because I'm so sad I don't want to move. Another death in our circle of family and friends. We've had way too many of those in the past couple of years. This one was -- as strange as it may sound -- my brother-in-law's ex-fiance. They were together for years and years, we still kept in touch with her, and she was a sister to us, as far as we were concerned.
In the meantime, life goes on here. Must get dressed, go to work. Time to make the donuts, for those of us old enough to remember that commercial. For you young 'uns who don't, you can look it up on YouTube.
