Diario de danawiesner, 29 may. 11

I haven't been journaling lately, just feeling uninspired. I am following the diet with the exception of the diet soda I had yesterday. I am not losing and have been tweaking things to see if that changes things. It hasn't. I am not being patient I know, it had only been two weeks.

I have been exercising most days and I try to do atleast an hour. I have been very honest in what I am eating. I am feeling sad and depressed, feeling like I have failed yet again.........

I am staying on course but feeling it is pointless.

You've lost 7 pounds in like 13 days. It's taken me almost 2 months to lose 7 pounds. Believe me, you are doing GREAT. Just keep going, you will see things move. It's not going to happen over night but just remember what you have accomplished so far.

Yea, I'm lucky to lose 2 pounds a month. You are going great! Take your measurements! Just because the scale doesn't move, doesn't mean you aren't losing. I had a friend who didn't see the scale move for months but went down 4 sizes (fat/inches lost). The scale is just a compass pointing you in the direction you need to go, it doesn't tell the whole story. Many people get to goal weight and still carry too much fat and are flabby. It takes time, patience and persistence to get to goal.

Dana take a look at some other food diaries to get some ideas. I don't think you are eating enough! Do you have the atkins book? I looked at the menus in the back to help me get ideas. Watch the cheese too. Are you hungry? If so you're not eating enough. Try to break the soda habit too. Yesterday for a treat I had canned pumpkin with heavy cream and SF syrup. It was a great VEGGIE snack! saw It somewhere else

It's only been 5 days since your last drop. Don't weigh too often. Skip the diet sodas entirely for now. Try to log your water intake in your food journal so you know you are drinking enough. Half your body weight in water ounces. Easy on cheese. Try eliminating sf jello (gelatin and artificial stuff can stall some people.) And don't OVERDO the exercise either. A moderate activity level that produces a sweat, sustained for 20-30 min's a day. Do a little stretching, some light hand weights, or pushups on the kitchen counter if you can, etc. I know it's difficult when you are standing there watching for the pot to boil, but it's painfully slow that way. Changing your lifestyle is not easy. But it is DOABLE! So don't give up!!! You've already made great strides...give it a couple more weeks and try to only weigh in once a week :) Think of the normal weightloss averages as your goal. 1-2 lbs per week, slow, steady, and longlasting !!!

Your persistance will pay off. Believe me. And when you lack belief in yourself or your own progress- just know that there's a whole lot of us on FS who do believe in you. So when you can't muster up the confidence and belief in yourself for this timebeing, just lean on ours. You ARE doing well thus far. Just stick with the stuff - it will happen! = )

Dana, you're doing just fine. Truly! We're on similar journeys, I just started sooner. Believe me, I know how hard it is to see the scale on the same number for a few days in a row. I, too, just wanted to see it go down each and every day, even though I knew/know in my head that weight loss doesn't work that way. What's been stated already is excellent advice!
