They're pretty drool-worthy. Fresh orange zest, craisins, pecans. He did only use about half the sugar the recipe called for. Probably the biggest temptation in my life is that my dear, darling husband likes to bake!

Perhaps you could get him to box these up and you guys can bike ride to the neighbor's house and gift them? Perhaps nudge him into baking pottery or Shrinky Dinks instead?

How nice for you that your husband can cook and cooks food you can eat. I think I would attempt portion control. Eat one or two depending on the calories and then freeze, indulging in one for breakfast with coffees when you have the urge.

Thanks for the suggestions, JustBananas, but shouldn't be necessary to box them up. 😉 Biscotti are not my kryptonite. That honor goes to pretzels and frosted mini-wheats. My diet's flexible enough I can work in a biscotti here and there. He made these with canola oil instead of butter or coconut oil, so they don't have the saturated fat you'd usually have, plus he cut the sugar in half. Still not health food, but as long as I limit my intake, it'll be fine. Plus, he'll eat most of them. 🙃 My skinny as a rail husband is a champion carb eater

Yep, Fritzy, portion control is the key. I've found that as long as I nourish myself well with healthy food, I don't really have a desire to binge on treats. I had a couple more than I should have the last couple of days because this is a new kitchen experiment, but I'll settle down. I'm not worried about having them in the house
