Today is a beautiful day although cold for the deep south. Yesterday was the New Orleans celebration of Mardi Gras which is a big deal down here. I however prefer to watch the fun on tv. Been there and done all that. I allowed myself a cheat day. Last night my husband and I shared some King Cake which is a Mardi Gras tradition. We both know it was too sweet and too much, but that is out of the way. Today back to recording food and exercise. That is a plus and feels good.

Oh to be sure Mardi Gras is a very interesting day, especially in the city on Bourbon Street. Shoulder to shoulder people and costumes or the lack of are something to see. The people of New Orleans never get tired of the holiday. But I can enjoy just watching the news or when they broadcast one of the parades. I don't fast anymore because of my age(lol) I feel like we fast in a way being we try to eat healthy. I would rather pray for a couple of hours instead. God does hear our prayer for strength also.
