Diario de danawiesner, 10 jun. 11

So I have been upping my calories, fats, and proteins and cringing while doing it, sooo afraid I will gain (still can't grasp the eat more=lose more concept). But I am sticking to it and I will see how my weigh in tomorrow will be.

I have been bouncing between 227 and 229 all week but this morning it was 228 so who knows what it will be tomorrow.

I am not cheating, tho somedays that diet cherry pepsi seems to be calling me, lol. I am really serious about making the change so I am holding fast. I do think it is funny that my "cheats" are now diet pepsi and Atkins bars but that is a good thing. I don't even look at hte cookies in the cabinet anymore.

One thing new for me is all of the cooking. I am NOT a cook but have had to adapt. I am learning to cook and freeze. I no longer throw food out, I go through it too fast so it doesn't have time to go bad. I do market a lot. Since I am home on disability I have the time, and it is an excuse to walk, so I can go every couple of days. I will eventually have to work out a new system when I go back to work.

Dana, I absolutely love that I get to cook more. We used to go out to eat all the time, mostly because I was just plain lazy. I need to be more in control now, so I'll be able to record my food accurately. My daughter said to me the other day "Geez Mom, are we EVER going to go out again?"

Skippy, my kids are thrilled we don't eat out anymore and my oldest has ever started eating salads everyday. But it is funny how they are noticing the changes. I am getting used to the cooking and may come to like it more, I have even enlarged my stock of spices, lol

I know right? I am tring to find all sorts of creative ways to make burgers, fish, etc....My kids think it is funny to see me buying meat in bulk.

My boyfriend loves to cook, but it's been an educational experience for him. He's of the school of thought that says potatoes, corn, peas and carrots are vegetables, right?? But he's getting the hang of it.

Dana I just upped my calories and carbs starting the end of March, and man was it scary...at first the scale didn't change much, but now I am losing and my body seems to really like what I have done. My hubby does most of the cooking...thank goodness he is following the same WOE as I am...makes it easier. Stick with it as Tracy said, and soon the scale will start showing a loss! Have a wonderful weekend!
