Diario de scrubadubadub, 06 sep. 22

The weekend was a $h!t show in regards to eating. I of course was up a few pounds after I splurged all weekend. I have to figure out how to eat away from home. Especially eating out. Breakfast is hard out. I normally do not eat breakfast. I don't like eggs. So choices are very limited. Any help or suggestions are welcome. I am back at it today and that counts for a lot!

pS. If you are looking at my Food Journal I don't always track here. I do track just sometimes its easier there.

some places offer oatmeal, fruit and yogurt, or you can do what my boys do and eat leftover dinner for breakfast.. no joke, literally meatballs and rice for breakfast. break the rules, it is fun.

If you don't normally eat breakfast, there's no reason why you can't just limit your order to a glass of water and a cup of coffee in a restaurant. That's what thin people do. Vacation, holiday, away or home, it's still just a meal. Consciously practicing your new way of eating will become habit and less difficult with each day.

@gwzfire I have my coffee. And about 11 to 1130 I get hungry. I rarely eat breakfast items. Even when I did eat breakfast! My husband and daughter think I am crazy. I mean I am but not for that! LOL

Choose the best options for your diet when eating out. Don't eat most of it, most portions are triple or quadruple what a normal human should eat. People use eating out as an excuse. Like JustBananas says, thin people make a habit of eating moderately most of the time. There's always a holiday. It's someone's birthday today. Thin peple eat a little and not like hogs. Fat people constantly say "I'll do better tomorrow". Do thin person things most of the time and you'll become thin soon.

chocolate whey in milk. extra lean steak, cottage cheese have lota of protein and keep you full longer

What's the most challenging aspect of eating out for you? If you had to pin it down to one thing?

SO, I have figured out that I cannot "diet" with restrictions because when I am off the "diet", I will overeat and gain it back. Perhaps think more about how to portion control your food so when you are faced with "regular" meals, you can learn to just plain eat less.

@are1981 I think the most difficult thing is not eating while others are eating, even if I am NOT hungry. The feelings and thoughts that run through the mind as people eat what I want even though I am not physically hungry. Also when I eat, I need to slow down.
