Karen, I am so glad that you are back with us! Now that the problem has been diagnosed and the gall bladder surgery accomplished you will feel much better and have no further attacks. I had wondered about your absence, but it never occurred to me that you were in the hospital with such an illness! Best wishes for a speedy recovery, my friend! When you describes chicken broth and jello as being "good", I know how serious this is! Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know what has been happening with you. I'm sending you lots of love and hugs - get well soon!

Yes its gone and it was laparoscopic. I was home less than 24hrs later. I'm hurting of course but not as much as I thought I would. Very tired though. I slept about 4 hours this afternoon. It really feels like I lost a week though-the days were running together.....Home is wonderful-no TV playing at 2am and me with earplugs and 2 pillows over my ears! Lol!!!! I'll be getting back on track in the next few days. Hopefully. :)

Thanks so much MSL! I will say that when they brought me the chicken broth and jello and black coffee this morning, they tasted heavenly. I've had broth a couple more times today and "good" would not be my description. Necessary is probably more accurate. I do think a nice cup of tea is going to be in my immediate future. Thanks for all your love and hugs-sending mine back to you!

Thanks PBP! I appreciate it! I hope things are going well for you. I haven't really been doing more than inputting what I've been eating. Maybe tomorrow I'll get around to seeing how everyone is. Have a great rest of the weekend! :)

Hi Molly! Home again and trying to get somewhat back on track. I'm tired though and taking a couple naps per day. I'll get there. I haven't been hurting as much today so that's something to be grateful for! Hope you are doing great!!!!! :)

I'm sure the low calorie/low fat diet is what's making you tired - well, along with the fact that your body is healing from a surgery! Although the outside wound may not be large, the internal is still something major - I mean, your body is missing a part!! lol Naps are good!! And lately for me, so is tea with lemon and honey. I realized that honey has more calories than I thought, so it's a good way to get a little sugar energy boost when I'm not really hungry. Anyway, so glad you're doing well!! Keep us posted!!!
(as for me, the scale is fluxuating because of "lady time" but going back down today... we'll see what this week holds!)

Thanks Molly! :) I'm trying to get more calories but it's taking a while to work my way back up. Naps happen to be my salvation at the moment and that tea sounds great. I usually stick with honey because I just can't make myself use artificial sweeteners. I use so little of it anyway....at least that's how I'm justifying it. :) I do hope your week goes well and that scale heads in the right direction!!!!!!!
