Diario de writingwyo, 05 dic. 22

Am so antsy to get back to exercising, but with this cold still hanging on, a mere 2-mile walk at a slow pace kicked my butt. Want to get going on resistance training, but don't yet trust this shoulder. Still doing PT exercises at home. Frustrating all around.

But you know what? Getting impatient is what got me here. The shoulder was a bike crash when I was tired and not thinking. I caught the cold cutting calories too much and getting too ambitious on upping the exercise too much. Ran myself down, and when I'm run down is when I get sick.

Need to take time, ramp up slowly, pace myself. Maybe I should take the same attitude to fitness as I do to weight loss -- slow and steady.

In the meantime, will pick up my Yoga Basics book and try to learn some poses. Pick up my body weight exercises book and get a plan for when I'm ready for it. Walk as much as I can. Keep doing the PT. Have faith I'll get there.👍

I can relate. I get sick when I am stressed and have learned that when I am feeling fatigues or stressed I better take some Airborne.

Morticia - my go-to is zinc, vitamin C, inactivity and simple carbs. Usually if I can catch it early enough, I can head it off that way. Apparently, didn't catch it early enough this time!

I think you have this well in hand, plus with your positive attitude, you'll be prepared when youre better. Hope that's soon too (the feeling well part!)

I know you weren't asking a question. Just thought this might help. "Slow and Steady without being Lazy" My Grandfathers saying, and Grandmother agreed (one of the few things they agreed on 😆)

Great advice, LivinBreezy 😊 I struggle with that balance sometimes. How much slack I can cut myself without derailing completely. Glad the grandfolks agreed on one thing, at least! 😂
