Welcome to Motivational Monday! What is your Fitness Identity??
I participated in the Tony Robbins' Become Unshakeable 5-day online event freebie 2 weeks ago and Day 2 about Identity really stuck with me. What is my Weight Identity? Fitness Identity? Body Identity? What story am I telling myself? I def get stuck in the labels of (Junk)Food Addict, compulsive /emotional/binge overeater, too fat, too lazy, too weak, too old, and procrastinator! Welllll all those messages ain't ever gonna get me to my health, fitness and body goals!
I need a new Identity. An image and message to keep me pushing everyday. Not just "I wanna lose weight"; it needs to be "I walk everyday, I lift everyday, I am a fit toned athlete who fuels my body properly". True success will start with the Identity, then the Process (how-to, routines, diet) and lead to the Outcome/Results*. I am gonna LIVE this new self!!!! Will explore this theme more next week, after I have practised my new routines!
