getting ready for a 10 day travel and extremely nervous for the gain and won't have a scale. going to try and enjoy the time with my son and deal with the wreckage when I return, tips welcome.

Enjoy yourself. Drink lots of water and avoid drinking calories. That will help. Don't eat any carbs without protein. Get in lots of fiber.

Hi Mischelle how’s it going you have been quiet. Hope it’s a great time that you are able to relax and enjoy yourself and the once you are back you get right back on the bandwagon 🤓

Final one if you and your boy can do a 15 minute walk or even some kind of activity hike or site seeing after a meal that will really help and it will be fun as well.

Thanks New_Wayne you are right. We will be moving him into his dorm should be lots of walking the first two days & lots of moving n lifting the third day 🙏🏼 God willing it won't be too bad when I get home but if it is the memories will be worth it. Also there is a gym & pool at my hotel. I will likely make use of that some.

Yeah that would be awesome, using the gym will be cool. Memories last. calories can always be lost.

Just remember small portions, more veggies and fruit if you have a choice and if you can set a time frame, like not eating after 6pm or 7pm that’ll help. Have healthy snacks available for those times when you get the munchies. Exercise is good but it’s what we eat that counts the most…enjoy your time 😊

We travel quite z bit so I take a small cooler in our truck and fill it with healthy snacks. It really helps! If you are flying try to make snacks after you get there. It's ok to enjoy yourself, just don't go overboard everyday. If you treat yourself one day try to recover the next day. Makes it easier when you get home. Have a great visit!👍

Salads are available at every restaurant. It has to be a conscious decision to choose to eat healthy every meal until it’s automatic— no matter if it’s at home, on vacation, or a holiday party.

I recently did the same thing for a four day trip to my daughter. I gained back 3 pounds but I got right back into my disciplined accounting for calories. Dropped back down 2 pounds in as many days. Getting back into exercise is harder for me.

I recently returned from a 10 day trip in July. I gained 3 lbs. I didn't log my food & ate pretty much what I wanted, including some snacks & adult beverages. That doesn't mean I didn't also make good choices. My WOE often kicks in & I'll make the healthier choice, because I genuinely like those foods. You don't have to be rigid. Have fun, eat things you may not get at home. As long as you get back to normal, when you return from your trip, you'll be fine 🙂

No worries at less than 150 lbs, you're in a tremendous shape - probably top 10% of the population !! Enjoy yoy time off 🎶🤸‍♀️

Cut out rice, potatoes and bread as much as possible. Also, limit oil-based sauces.

When I travel I drink vodka drinks, any salads I get dressing on the side and dip my fork in it before the salad. I refuse to eat breads at all even though I really want to but I’ll have an occasional dessert and try to share it.

There doesn’t have to be wreckage. You can eat and enjoy just don’t pig out.
