so the question of the day today ,,,, I am really going to try and Track/log food to try and get this last 15 off,,, I see a lot of ppl use MFP rather then here on FS,,, why and whats the pros and cons ?? Thanks all

@Zaza -- I'm assuming MFP = My Fitness Pal as I've read other FSers mention using that site for food tracking (vs. using FS) and I've been curious to check it out as well for the same reason that Tamarah Jo mentions above.

MFP = My Fitness Pal // I've never used MFP; I think having the word 'Fat' in something is such a stigma for some people that they'd rather have a 'Pal'; it may not be any deeper than that. If you don't have one yet, get yourself a food scale that weighs in grams. Adopt the mantra of 'If I can't weigh it, measure it or count it, I won't eat it'. Regardless of which one you use, make sure it's FS, lol.

I've tried both and I like this one best. And Frosty is right--weighing and measuring and counting makes ALL the difference. I even do it with things like cucumber and celery sticks, which are just about zero calorie foods.

I agree with Frosty too. I was shocked at how badly I was overestimating how much I could eat before I began weighing. Even if you do it just for a period of time, it would be an eye-opener for you.

Tracking is tracking - measure, weigh nad be fully aware.

this is much better than mfp, more interactive with other people and you can get buddies that help you with support on your journey

Along with FS, I have been on MFP to buddy with my daughter...this year. The one and only real benefit was it's mobile ability to read bar codes..and incorporate the nutritional indo...but now ...Now FS has that ability and my daughter is focused on something else...so..I'm refocusing on my FS and my pals here! You are the best part! .
