Doing well. Went shopping at WalMart - got shirts - nice ones for $3 to $5 dollars a shirt - I got some very nice ones, six in all in the Westfield, Massachusetts WalMart. I will see if others in the area have some shirts too, like my local one. I have lots of nice dress shirts for winter. I have coats for bumming around in during winter, but need to get a good winter coat with a hood. Bruce took me to WalMart this evening. We went to the country town of Russell (which happens to be my middle name). Anyway, we ate at a great restaurant, I paid as he drove me there, I rarely get to go anyplace. Bruce and I then went back to his place, he did some laundry and threw it in the dryer and we picked it up, so he did a lot of colored clothes for me. He is diabetic and after we ate - maybe an hour and a half later we tested our blood sugars, mine was 93 - so that is excellent after a big meal. I need to get a weight scale and may order one on the Internet in the next few days. The ones in the stores often have problems. His cat is a gray tabby and full-grown but very small and is a little sweetheart - like my dog - I have not seen a cat that nice in a long while, so many of them are mean, as are many dogs I know. My mom had good luck with loving cats, some people get Cujo-like dogs and cats to torment them. I will take Bruce's cat - if he wants to will it to me I will let him know I will take her if something happens. I am a bit worried about him, he had to go to the E.R. because his blood sugar was so low the other morning, he didn't know what was causing it they gave him that syrup stuff. I told him to drink orange juice in the morning if it is a bit low. Bruce is like family to me, he is the brother I never had... a few female coworkers who are older than him said he is everyone's little brother - he's almost six feet tall so is not short, but he is liked by many more people than he realizes...

This is the time of year that summer clothes go on sale; you should be able to get some really good buys. I don't know where you can get a decent scale, I ended up buying one from Wal*Mart. It works ok and is only 4 pounds off from the scale at my Doctors office. I use the Wal*Mart scale when I weigh in on FS but my official weight is when I go see my Doctor which I have to do every 3-6 months. My family has 3 cats they do calm down as they get older but I'm not sure about the youngest he is still a brat. We also have one dog from the animal shelter, we have no idea what breed she is, but she is a herding dog so the shelter just had her listed as a Cow Dog. She is a little too friendly and jumps on people. There are many factors that determine how a dog will behave such as how they are treated and what breed they are. Our dog had been abused so she would cower then roll onto her back when anyone went near her. I don’t understand how anyone can do that to an animal. Hope that your friend Bruce is feeling better.

Yes, veghead; I went to the local WalMart yesterday and got two more shirts on sale, they are clearing out summer shirts - short sleeve ones. They are nice and better than wearing those cheap T shirts that shrink. I am tossing out a lot of old shirts today, ripped, etc. I am going on Amazon in a little while to buy a scale. I had a good one for years that I bought through Avon, then one I bought at a store; but it only lasted a few years. My friend has diabetes but is losing weight so his blood sugar is much better than it has been. My dog is spoiled, she gets a treat every time she comes inside from a walk. She is happy with me, makes sure if I am with someone that I am nearby. Toto sometimes jumps on strangers in my apartment, but not all the time. She barks if someone is at the door. Some people just don't like animals, be it dogs or cats... have a good holiday...

I bought a scale and will get it later in the week, it has a good reputation by the remarks on Amazon. A short while later my paper shredder died - so I will buy one of those in a few weeks if it doesn't start working after a day or two of giving it a break. The light is on, but it doesn't work. Dieting going well. I am busy with Book 3 today, didn't go anywhere - feels more like a Sunday than a holiday.
