Diario de Joelly, 01 dic. 09

I've recently decided to run a 5k in late March and my boyfriend is going to run it with me. Since I made the decision a little over a week ago I've ran a 5k (3.1 miles)3 times on the treadmill. The plan is to continue to run them on the treadmill in December and when 2010 comes around I'll take it to the pavement. I can count how many times I've ran on the pavement since high school so I'm a little scared of it. I have flat feet and a back that ocassionally bothers me. I'm going to purchase new sneakers and maybe do half a 5k first then I'll build up to 3 miles outside. Hopefully I'll build up to it by Valentine's Day and then I'll spend the next 6 weeks repeating it.

I had no weight gain during the Thanksgiving holiday. That's always a plus! I'm still at 166lbs which is great because I remember how much I wanted to be in the 60's but now that I've been here for a few weeks I can't wait to hit the 50's. 7 lbs and I'll be at 159 which is something I haven't seen in a few years! Ughh I can't wait. Hopefully the preparation for my mini-marathon will help shed these 7 lbs. It's like a 2 for 1 deal!
