Solace is gone. I had to give her up or face eviction. She knew something was wrong when I handed her over. As a result, I spent all last night in tears. I really miss her. Just thinking about her starts the tears all over again. Life can be a very painful place sometimes.
My daughter called yesterday. She's not doing well at all. A shot she got has really upset her lupus. There is a lot more going on there as well... Guess I'm feeling sad and helpless today. The sadness I can embrace because I know it's healthy to mourn a loss and it'll pass eventually. The feeling of helplessness is another matter.
One; I know the feeling is an illusion as I'm not really helpless. I may be watching a train wreck in slow motion but I have to remind myself. I NOT the conductor.
Two; The best way to handle this is to focus my energies on positive projects. So time to get dressed and make coffee. I have a lot to do today!

Oh, Ruby, I am soooo sorry!!! It is so hard to part with our little furry friends. I sure hope that you can visit her. As for your daughter, I am sorry that her Lupus is giving her such a rough time. I will be praying my friend for her and for you. Watching our children struggle is the most gut wrenching thing we go through, but as you say, you are not the conductor. My heart goes out to you---oh how we love our animals. Hoping maybe alittle more time with your new grandchild will ease the pain---keep busy---make new friends----at our animal shelter you can volunter to sit with the cats---we all need to be touched. By the way, you are looking soooo great. Stay strong

@Stef. I surrendered her to a very nice animal shelter/adoption facility called PAWS. I found it online. I can call and check on her but that's really all. I checked the site and Solace is already listed. I comfort myself with knowing she'll go to a good home. Sometimes it's just better to let go:(

@Rita, thank you and you're right about keeping busy. I have quite a bit still to do getting this place in shape. At this shelter they have great programs too. I'm really impressed with it. Meanwhile, hoping to see my daughter and grand baby in the upcoming days. ♥

My heart just broke a little. I am so sorry hun, I don't know what I would do if I had to give my Princess up. I hope you can find comfort in the fact that she will find a nice forever home with a loving family that will treat her well. I really wish we lived closer to each other I would have taken her in and that way you could have seen her whenever you wanted ~hugs~. I hope your daughter gets better soon! Will keep you in my thoughts. ♥
