@Sugar Waffle's post this morning gave me pause. She mentioned a quote that whatever you think is what you attract.

Think about that for a second...

What kind of thoughts do I have? Am I wallowing in self-pity about the many obstacles in my life? Or am I thankful for the good things throughout the day? Am I constantly worrying about this or that, many of which I have no control over? Or am I making a conscientious effort towards making my life better through thinking about and doing things to get to my goals?

What about you? What side of the spectrum are you on?

These are deep questions that require us to be open. It's hard to look at oneself in the mirror and think critically about ourselves, especially when we live in a world where everyone judges. But, doing this will help you control the one thing that is quite possibly, the most power of all....Your Mind!

Some things to think about...

And last but not least...

Absolutely. What we think, we become. Those thoughts influence behavior that influences outcomes. Easy to say, not so easy to keep in mind and actually DO.

@newnormal - So true! It's one of those things we have to be consciously aware of and work diligently to correct. Whenever we feel a negative thought coming on, we have to squish it right then and there. Don't let it fester or control our mind no matter how tempting it is! But yes, easier said than done for sure. Just like anything in life, it takes practice, practice, and more practice. But once you learn it, life is so much more amazing! Plus, I'd rather live with hope than despair any day even if that hope is only there because of a thought that things could be better.

Kind of gives you another twist on "I think, therefore I am." Some of the latest science shows our thoughts actually affect our CELLS. Yes - think about the possibilities!

@Sugar Waffle - You're welcome! @Trackin64 - You are definitely on point with the power of the mind from a medical perspective! People who have mastered their mind have been able to turn around ailments that have baffled doctors. I really need to keep this in perspective next time a bad thing happens so I can realize I have the power to change so much. Not just my thoughts and feelings, but as you said, the very makeup of my body from a cellular level. That is incredible to think about, isn't it?!
