Diario de 2ManyCurves, 11 abr. 17

Dropped a little over four pounds last week. But, I've been ill and haven't gotten much exercise. I'm a little concerned some of that was muscle lost. I missed my long run Sunday completely. Then stressed about how far behind that threw my training for the upcoming half marathon. I even stayed home from work yesterday as I had completely lost my voice. I managed to get out of bed and death-walk myself to my office today. I have a ton of things to get done and zero motivation. I managed to walk to the coffee shop next door and purchase a garbage drink that is loaded with sugar. Poor choice. Ok. Back on track as of this moment.

Today: I will finish those two briefs I have been stressing over. I will go home at lunch and prep a cabbage soup for dinner via crockpot. Lastly, I will either churn out 45 on the elliptical tonight or push myself through a quick 5K outside, weather permitting. Time to pull myself out of this funk and crud.

Observation about myself: I really don't like breakfast. I mean...ever. I force myself to drink green smoothies or eat oatmeal usually. And, in my head I keep hearing that voice that says "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day" and "You have to eat breakfast to kickstart your metabolism." Bleh. I just don't want to. I don't like eating within four hours of waking. I'd rather just skip it and wait for lunch. I dunno. Maybe I'm doing myself a big disservice. I don't even like to eat a handful of almonds for breakfast, which is my normal go-to snack. I mean...I could probably be ok with cold leftover pizza and a beer for breakfast. But, otherwise, I just really think it's not my thing. Wonder if that means I'm destined to be pudgy with a slow metabolism. Ehhh...I don't know. Sometimes I look forward to intermittent fasting just so that I don't have to eat breakfast. I feel like br'er rabbit on those IF mornings. Isn't my exercise first thing in the morning revving my metabolism?

I don't like breakfast either, so do IF pretty much all the time. I get up at 4am, and my eating window is from 10am-6pm. Hope you feel better soon!
