One full week without (almost all) dairy. It's turning out to be less difficult than I thought (tho as I sliced up some cheddar for the kids for snack, I had to be careful not to eat it!) Coconut oil on low-carb toast, with just a touch of salt, is actually pretty good, btw!
Not losing weight rapidly, but it seems to be heading in the right direction. Since the weight gain had been rapid to the point of alarming, I'd say that's a good thing.
I did notice something today, though: My ankles and fingers were less swollen. I've always been susceptible to "bloat" especially in my ankles, but along with the weight gain, this too was concerning. So it's really nice to see that subside! Plus, for the first time in a long time, my clothes felt less tight. Not sure what's going on -- if it was truly water weight, I'd expect a rush of weight loss to go with it. But it's nice to *feel* a bit thinner, nonetheless!
So ... dairy. I hardly knew ye. Looks like I'll be steering clear of dairy for awhile.
