Walked 2 miles before work. My left ankle is still bothering me somewhat, but if I'm careful it doesn't hurt. I've got to go a few months without twisting it so that it will get better. Makin sure that I have my shoes tied at all times will be the key. (Otherwise, when I twist it, my foot goes 1 way and my shoe goes the other way...hence injury)
Got email from Komen for the Cure (3-day) today. It was rather humorous...talking all about how essential it is to consume carbs before and after walking...that carbs are the key.
It will be a long time before the sports-nutrition field catches up to the reality that sugar-loading may work for some people, but it is dangerous to most people.
I was sore yesterday in my arms, which confused me..because the last time that I lifted weights was Wed, and I wasn't sore after that. Then I remembered that I did my Wii Active on friday night. (upper body). Funny that the Wii gave me more exercise than the weights (at least enough to make me sore).
Cheated a little on the diet today. My favorite restaurant was out of steak...go figure. I went with only breaded shrimp and veggies. That will kick me out of ketosis for a couple of days, but I'll try to stay about 20 for the rest of the week, so shouldn't slow me down too much. It SHOULDN'T cause any carb craving or side-effects like hunger, because I'll still be below 60 NET for the day.
Physically, it is becoming MUCH more apparent that I'm loosing weight. Everyone is noticing. My "before" and "now" pictures are pretty hysterical. I'm hoping to be below 200 by June 1st, but that goal is a little too ambitious. Given my current weight loss of 6-8#s a month, I'll be there by July 1st.
I believe I'll hold a BBQ on the 4th of July to celebrate 100#s lost.
