Like many on this site, I have always remembered feeling "fat". Just recently though I was flipping through photos from highschool when I was "fat" and realized that I wasn't. I was just taller (I'm 5' 11") than all my friends.
I do know now that I am unhealthy, and my BMI is terrible. So with my supportive husband, I have decided to try Weight Watchers. I've actually never technically dieted. I tried the South Beach diet and only lasted about 4 days. I've also tried a Richard Simmons diet that involved clicking down boxes once the food was consumed, I assume that will be similar to what Weight Watchers "points" are. But again I had no staying power with that either.
I really think this time will be different because I realize how crucial my weight and BMI is to my overall health. I have also seen my mom struggle with her weight for years, and I want to be successful and help motivate and encourage her in her current weight loss goals.
My biggest weakness is during the week when I get home. I'm used to having some sort of snack, and I am usually tired from the commute and just want comfort food (mexican, pizza, burgers, etc.) And I definately don't feel like exercising. I think by joining WW I will have the accountability I need and encouragement to succeed. However, I really am excited about this site, especially because it is free and has similar componants to a lot of weight-loss internet sites (e-diets).
