I just turned 30 and I'm the heaviest I've ever been. Now, while I'm not overweight, I realized a year ago that I need to change my lifestyle or I will be.

I gained about 3 lbs over the past year, but for the two years prior to that I gained about 10 lbs a year.

So my goal for 2010 is to decrease my weight... to fit back into my old jeans, and just to eat well and be more active.

It doesn't help that my husband has a sweet tooth and would rather watch tv than exercise these days. He's gained 40 lbs in the past three years.

So my other goal is to help him lead a healthier lifestyle as well. Hopefully we can get fit together. : )

I'm a vegetarian, and my weaknesses are carbs and cheese. I have a desk job, so I get very little exercise during the day. I also like to snack at my desk and I get tempted by bad cafeteria food. By the time I get home it's very hard to get motivated and get to the gym or on my treadmill.

We're going to start trying to have our first baby in 2010, so it would be nice to be in shape beforehand and to keep active during my pregnancy.
