March 24, 2017 Update: Same old thing. I'm back. I'm trying again. I won't give up. I refuse to live in a world without hope!

November 22, 2013 Update: Well, here I am again. <sigh> On June 8 I fell and injured my ankle, which threw me off my schedule and plans. I didn't even think about trying to eat healthy from that date until now. Tired of feeling sick and tired, so I'm getting back to LCHF.

May 7, 2013 Update: I got down to 255 in 2011 and then eased back into my unhealthy way of eating. Over the past year and a half, I've slowly regained 40 pounds. (I'm just thrilled I haven't regained it all plus a few pounds!) Anyway, as of May 1st I'm back to eating healthy; in just a week, my energy has increased dramatically, and I've dropped almost 10 pounds (yeah, some of it's water, but still:-).

Never give up! Never surrender!

Fifty-six years old, curious, compassionate, and creative. That's the good stuff. I'm also fat and have type II diabetes. That's the stuff I'm getting rid of. I completed a yeast cleanse fast on July 9, 2011, and started eating clean and mostly primal on July 10. By the end of the first week, I had more energy than I'd had in years!

I am friendly and hardly ever bite, so feel free to contact me if you want to talk healthy eating, healthy moving, motivation, or so on.

Aug. 8, 2011 PS - When I started FatSecret, I estimated my weight at 330, which was what I weighed at my doctor appointment a year ago. I now have a scale and weigh 290, which leads me to believe I overestimated my starting weight. I'm guessing 310 was my real starting weight, which means I've lost four pounds a week, not eight. Losing four pounds (about 1.5% of my body weight) a week is great! I think eight pounds a week would be physically impossible for me;-)
