Kind of a rough start to my morning. My hubby woke up with a blood sugar of only 29. I had to give him a glucagon injection to get it back up to normal since he wasn't functioning well enough to do anything about it himself. I don't like giving shots very much, but you do what you've got to do.

I did have a good weigh-in though. I would like the loss to slow a little bit now. I'm not to a critical stage at all, but am getting close to my goal and don't want to end up looking like a twig.

I realize that I need probably need to increase my calories. I'm going to aim for 1700. I'm not sure eating the way we do on Atkins how I'm going to get that many but I'll try.

I am also having trouble getting up to 70 net carbs and starting Monday I should be moving it up to 80. Once again, eating the way we do, I'm going to really have to concentrate on getting in those carbs. I've never been a huge fruit eater, but I think I need to start eating them more often just for the carbs.

My home office is now up and running. It's taken a lot of hard work to move everything, but all of the vital supplies and files are now here. It's a relief since it's been kind of stressful not having everything in one place.

My thoughts today and the last several days have been with Andrea and Ctlss. I hope you are both doing well.

Take care all.

I have started getting my home office set up but still have a lot to bring home from the office. It's nice to see it coming together. It's a lot of work. I'm looking forward to having it all done. Hopefully, by early next week I'll have everything here.

I finished off the loaf of buttermilk bread that I bought a few days ago. It had enriched wheat flour in it but no HFCS or other junk. It still bothered me that it had the flour in it though. Last night I baked a loaf of almond flour bread. It is so good! I used it for a PB&J. I'm going to add it recipes for anyone who is in OWL or the later phases. The recipe has lots of calories (which I am happy about since I often have a hard time getting enough calories). It could be changed to reduce the calories by using yogurt instead of the heavy whipping cream.

I have been going to college for the last few years and will be finishing my degree program this fall. I'm getting geared up to get back to that. I'm a little old for college I guess but I really have enjoyed it. I was retired after owning a small business and got really bored, so I had to do something just to keep my sanity. College was a good choice. It gave me a sense of accomplishment and has been a lot of fun. And I probably wouldn't have been able to get an office job without the computer skills that I picked up in college either.

Oh oh, the hubby just came in, and he's over there poking in my office supplies to see what he can use that I brought home. LOL. I can see that I'm going to need to keep an eye on him.

You all have a great day!

Had a good weigh-in today. I keep expecting to see the loss slow, but it's still going strong.

I don't have to work today. I'm happy to have the break from the office. I work for a lawyer who is moving to another state. Yesterday, I finally got all of the things that he's taking with him out of the office. Whew, glad that part is done.

He will still have business here in Montana. Now, I have to work on moving the items that are staying here out to my house. Thankfully, he took all the client files and archived records with him. I could have continued working out of the office but with him not actually there that made no sense. I mentioned working from home. He liked that since any sensitive information would not be in the office for anyone to get into (there are other lawyers with clients in the office, cleaning staff, etc.). I'm just going to set my office up here at home and work that way.

It's going to be a hot one today. I have some outdoor chores, but they are very labor intensive. I may just focus on inside chores until it cools down this evening.

I moved into pre-maintenance this week, and the weight continues to come off. I'm now up to 60 net carbs and am pleased to be still be losing. Now the challenge is to find out where my ideal carb intake is for losing and for maintaining.

I loved moving properly through all of the stages. It has really taught me that we all need to move through the process. If I would have just stayed under 20 net carbs, I never would have known what I could actually eat many more carbs and still maintain the weight loss. It has been a fun and rewarding experience.

Having made it to this point, I can see that it won't be an issue at all to almost always eat low carb. And I don't have to be frightened that some off-the-plan food is going to throw me into a tailspin. I just need to be aware that some sugary treat might make me crave more, and the one treat is not an invitation to go out and get carb crazy.
