drinks and appetizers with Kristen tonight.but also had a salad for dinner and went to the gym. will decide this weekend about the in step for autism race. must figure out football and soccer schedule. must also increase water intake an SLEEP. hoping to keep this downward trend...although it would be nice to see a little more movement on the scale... but every small ounce counts and i'll just keep on it. and eventually i'll be down another 5 pounds. and then 5 more after that. and i'll just keep on doing it... that's all.

ok... i've done pretty good this week with dieting. and i've actually gotten to exercise. i need to do some running. and i think i'm signing up for a 5K that will take place in two weeks. if i put in 3 days a week of running i should be able to do it. it might not be enough time though. i'm just not sure. i need to keep at it. i'm beat though. and i am getting frustrated with not really losing weight. i just need to keep at it and remember that slow and steady wins the race. that weight lost slowly tends to stay off.

what i know... i know the slow and steady wins the race. i know i need to make small changes in order to make the big picture look like what i want it to look like. i can do this. shoot for just 10 more pounds. 3 months. december. i can do this.
what do i need to do to accomplish this task?
i need support from my friends and family.
i need support from myself.
i need to put this task above all others.
i need balance.
i need to eat right.
i need to exercise...everyday. 30 minutes. it isn't that outrageous. i need to make me a priority again. it isn't my nature i guess.
work on the exercise piece. this is something that has been difficult for me to put together. working it into my everyday life hasn't been SO bad, but putting in real exercise everyday has been a little more difficult. i'm tired. i have no time. i just don't feel like. the excuses are endless. so how can i make this piece work? gym. running. weight lifting. maybe a few hand held weights, dumbbells. maybe cleaning up betheny's room a little bit and making it an exercise room so that i can do something when i can't get to the gym. so far that seems like the best idea. planning out my food works, so maybe planning out my exercise and JUST DOING IT is what i need to do.
i have a list of some races and i should just sign up for one and then train for it. that way there is something in the future. a goal. i am looking at these next 5 pounds. i know i can do this. 4 pounds. i can do this.

ok... i'm back on my diet and my goal is to lose 15 pounds in three months. this is totally doable and only 5 pounds a month. and to keep on exercising.
tomorrow is september 1st and i am read for this. i am looking at the short term goals and aiming for them. i've lost 10 pounds this year. it isn't great but it put me down a pants size...almost 2 pants sizes. so it'll happen. i just need to eat right, eat healthy, and exercise. it shouldn[t be that difficult to get a run in or lift at the gym. i can do this.
i know i am mad crazy busy, but i'm sure i can do this. just keep plugging along and looking at each little goal. slow and steady. starting tomorrow i am going to try to concentrate on drinking more water and putting in 30 minutes of walking per day. i don't know how i will do it, but actually i get an hour for lunch tomorrow, so perhaps i will take it later in the day and go for a walk. hmmmmm that could work.
tomorrow i'll finish moving my desk and stuff and mail some socks to gifts to give. silly, but... i do need to go to the post office.
for now... i need to sleep. i am very tired. i will keep sticking to my diet and my exercise. i can do this i can do this i can do this.
