At a plateau for a little over a week and just can't seem to get below 209. No matter what though, I'm not giving up and I choose to be positive during this time. After all, I believe attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference! People are going through a lot worse than me not being able to see past 209. :)
This week, I have a few goals:
-Drink at least 64 oz of water a day (I usually have a little more)
-Have protein at every major meal
-Exercise at least 20 minutes
-Walk 20 of the 30 minutes during my lunch break
-Practice positive self-talk to keep motivated
-Don't let lack of progress discourage me
-Log into FS every day and post a journal entry :)

Busy busy day. Have a research paper due tomorrow on cultural intelligence for one of my doctoral classes. It's actually a really interesting course.
I'm hoping to get that done and relax with my honey with some much needed gaming time. For those of you who don't know, we actually met online through a video game we played together for about a year or so. Yes, not your typical way of meeting people, but we have an awesome relationship and that's what matters. His mother adores me and my mom keeps asking the wedding is. Lol
His knee is still swelled up and it turns out he's allergic to the pill they gave him to reduce inflammation. He's been off this whole week and wants to go back to work on Monday, but he can barely walk down the steps in front of our apartment without his knee killing him. He's taking it easy still - hope he feels better soon!
I'll be MIA most of the day so hope everyone has an awesome day! Make the most of it :)

Happy Friday FS users! I hope you all have a beautiful day and a fabulous weekend! For me, the weekends are the hardest to stay on track. I've been trying to be more focused, but sometimes all my good intentions end up being poorly implemented.
What do you all do to stay focused on the weekends?

I was pretty proud of myself for meeting my goals yesterday. Instead of 10,000 steps, I did 12,483! I love having an activity tracker now - before I was just guessing. Of course, I'm sure this isn't 100% accurate either but it's better than me pulling numbers out of a hat.
Today I have a lot of things to do. I have a dermatologist appointment later for some skin problems I'm hoping he'll be able to fix. I've been breaking out on my face for about a year and been going to this doctor for 8 months - it's not clearing up. It seems to be erupting when Aunt Flo comes to visit but I've gone to my OBGYN and had numerous tests done and all my hormones are within normal range. Everything seems to indicate it's stress related or hormonal related but none of the tests show that. It's mainly in my chin area but also in between my eyebrows. I'm really hoping to get some answers so cross your fingers for me!
I decided to use my lunch times from now on to walk around campus. I did that yesterday and it was gorgeous! What a great way to re-energize before the 2:30 pm crash. I used to be so tired by then but now I'm awake! I also started doing exercises in my office to help with blood circulation and stiffness. So far, they seem to be helping.

Today is a new day full of possibilities and choices determined by YOU! What positive choices will you make today?
I will drink more water
I will walk at least 10,000 steps (yesterday I walked 10,482)
I will make sure to go to bed early to get some good sleep. Since I got my HRM and sleep monitor, I noticed I've been getting about 5 hours of quality sleep a night (if that) and I'm awake a LOT. I'm not sure why other than the fact that my brain won't stop thinking! Today, I'm going to change that and see if I can do something to calm my mind down. Any suggestions?
