Been a super busy but productive year! There were many time I wanted to give up, and in the past probably would have, but my family and I making a commitment to be supports for each other has definitely helped keep me motivated during this big big push. I still have a bit to go, but some major fitness wins I never thought I could've done (even before gaining the weight the first time!) or would've been able to do again (when beginning this journey and having so many restarts) came from setting realistic goals like improving my mobility and walking further and for longer turned into modified workouts a few times a week, to being able to run a 5k this fall! Therapy has been essential for helping me keep my appetite and cravings in perspective, I've had a few lapses of course but I had the tools to help me understand what was actually going on, but above all just being open about my needs with people trying to help made sure I got the help I needed! The last few times I made this kind of progress before having to start all over again after eating my way back into a state of what I feared would become near immobility, I lost through unsustainable methods and I'm not doing that this time, and when I find something that could risk being unsustainable is working, I look to see how I can change it, and that feels like the biggest mindset change I've experienced of late.
