Alright everyone, guess who's back!?😎😠💪🏻 That's right the king is in and yes, I have officially lost 40lbs since starting my weightloss journey back in jan. of this year. I won't lie, I stayed a bit stagnant but found encouragement from friends, family and surrounding myself with new people that share the same enthusiasm for fitness, nutrition and health. I have adopted a new eating diet with a mixture of Keto/Carnivore, I have limited my carbohydrate intake as low as possible and maintain a diet of fats and protein. I also been applying intermittent fasting, which isn't easy for myself but It has helped my body push itself into the Ketosis process. I am continuing to attend BJJ classes about 3 times a week but still need to push myself a bit more to go to the gym perhaps 2 more days of the week. Anyway, I am very happy with my progress and glad to see myself almost under the 290 mark! hopefully by the end of the coming up week I'll be down in the 280s. Guys, dont ever give up on yourself, staying stagnant will kill your progress so if you see yourself stopping, get back on the ball. Anyway, Thank you all for the constant positive encouragement and I will be sure to keep you all posted a bit more in the future. Have a wonderful weekend. 😎👍🏻

Congratulations! I'm doing a combo Keto/ Atkins diet and have lost 27lbs since January. I have been STUCK at 256.2 for 3 weeks!!! I've tried carbs per day down to 5 (usually stay below 20 net carbs) and then even tried to shock my system and ate 60 carbs one day! Nothing seems to work to get me off that number!! Any suggestions??

Congrats on your phenomenal success! I'm doing keto/carnivore too and the near zero carbs keeps the weight coming off!

@jopenn you should consider intermittent fasting if you're unfamiliar with it you fast for 16 hours and then consume for 8, try eating more fatty proteins like pork, pepperoni, beef, eggs then for fats ill eat a stick of cheese or snack on some almonds and avacado. From what I've learned is that fats helps you burn the fat you currently have. I went up to 301lbs and took the advice of my BJJ instructor by trying the Carnivore/Keto diet since wed i have lost 8 pounds!! Also keep it consistent and exercise regularly

The Fat Man I already eat 5% carbs 80% fat (avacodos, cheese, eggs, bacon, mct oil and tb butter in coffee) and been here for 3 weeks. I'll try the 16 hour fast and then you eat like normal the next 8?

Jopenn, try eliminating the dairy. It works for some people.

@jopenn how many calories are you consuming a day? And you mentioned percentage but what about daily grams? You might be eating too little, I started off my healthy eating habits counting calories and I did lose some weight but i plateaued very quickly, I switched now to just counting carbs grams and the most I eat in a day would be 50g and tbh I feel as im eating like a king! Ive been eating big cuts of steak, teriyaki chicken, pork, etc etc. How is your exercise routine?

TheFatManNuke I usually eat between 1000 calories a day to 1600. My net carbs are always below 20 except for that one day I kicked up to 60 to see if it would shake up my metabolism...but it didn't. So cut out all dairy??? Cheese, eggs and butter? That's the only dairy I eat...I also eat 92% lean hamburger patties, tuna, bacon, almonds...

@jopenn i think you might be cutting your calories too low because that's what I was doing and i didnt seem to be dropping any weight. Also, are you exercising? And try implementing the intermittent fasting. I am near 5'10" and weighed at 333lbs my heaviest now Im at 293lbs, i dropped nearly 8 pounds in like 5 days.

Question how do you guys upload picture for your profile?

Thanks to all and TheFatManNuke for your suggestions. I' m going to try the 16 hour fast and then perhaps kick up my proteins and calories to maybe a constant 1600 or 1700 calories, as usually my daily calories are 1000 to 1200. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll see a weight drop on next weigh in.

TheFatManNuke I have a bad hip (soon to be replaced) but I have a recumbent bike I exercise on plus some weights for arm exercises and additional leg exercises...probably 45 minutes per day.
