Our daughter (stage 4 cancer) is in town for her pet-scan and coming over for dinner today. We will sit in the patio and stay away from each other. My husband, her father, went to the grocery plus the hardware store today, with no gloves as usual. He promised me faithfully he would wash his hands when he got home. After helping to carry in our many groceries and nursery items, he touched many things in the house. As usual, he utterly refused to wash his hands, and I literally begged him. He said no, that's only fear. I asked "what about me?" and he answered, "I don't care about you!". Living in Los Angeles, our little section of town is the highest count in all of Los Angeles County with over 600 active cases in the hospital, so of course, there are lots more around. I know he loves me but is thoughtless often. You'd think he could be careful for our daughter's sake. We are not in phase one yet.
Our daughter had many new bone lesions just back in February, plus she had to cut down to 1/2 dose Chemo because it was affecting her so. But, praise the Lord, nothing lit up this time, so that means there were no new ones and they are being "quiet". She does have a lung inflammation or infection but it didn't light up the scan so they said it wasn't cancer. She had a COVID 19 test this morning because they can't give her any steroids for it if she would happen to be positive.
By the way, he has progressed to using oxygen every night, plus periodically during the day, even at sea level now.
