This holiday thing is going to be harder then I could have every imagined. I tought I had mentally and emotionaly prepared myself well but all hell has broke loose. Just becasue I felt prepared didn't mean my kids where prepared and it is hitting them harder then I could have ever guessed. Anyway we are working thru it and hopefully getting away for the two week Christmas break will do us all some good.

Best of luck to you Cherie. The days are counting down to the end of the year, there will be light at the end of the tunnel, promise! I don't think there is any way to prepare for the issues you and your family have suffered and you have been an incredibly strong woman to deal with it all as you have. Take care of yourself as well as your family. It may be a year or two before things feel normal, but don't forget you have friends who care about you here.

Sounds like going away for a holiday might just be the best thing for you and the kids. My heart goes out to you and isn't it wonderful that have such loving family support.

I wish you a wonderful holiday. I know it must be so hard on you and your kids but I know you will all take good care of each other. I think a holiday is a terrific idea for all of you - enjoy!
