Weight keeps going down. It's funny how some days my scale will settle on a weight immediately and if I get on again, I get the exact same weight. Today it was all over the place. Weighed myself at least 6 times and then took an average. Was nice to see a mid 203 pop up on there. I'm expecting a lull in the loss pretty soon as it's been going down quite a bit lately. The body fat meter was very consistent today though right at 25%. That's down from about 34% when I started. My lean body mass calculations have remained fairly constant at about 150lbs. Seems to indicate I'm loosing mostly fat which is good.

Tried one of CH's builder bars yesterday. Was pretty tasty. I need something to replace some of the tuna I've been eating. Tuna's really good for you of course but it's getting a little old, and sitting down with other people and eating a packet of tuna seems a little weird. I can't bring myself to do it. An energy bar I can do though. Need to be a little more creative on my crutch foods.

Not being a health food guy, I wish they would take some of the sugar out of it and drop the calories by about 100. Maybe put some artificial sweeteners in lol. I'll shoot Gary (the owner) and email and see if he can make a less natural version.

LOL! I'm sure Clif would love to make a less natural version for ya! I havea hard time with the supplements too. The calories I don't mind it's the added sugar. I myself am getting sick of the protein shake, great boost of protein but even after changing up the fruits every once in a while, still pretty boring. I also don't eat a ton of meat so it's hard to get adequate protein without supplementation. Clif unfortunately makes the best tasting protein bars on the market, the others ones just kind of taste like protein powder, especially the ones that either don't add sugar or use artifical sweetners. I'm sure you will find a way to change it up.

Yes, I am quite addicted to the builder bars. In fact I'm going to pick up another case of them today. I special order them so I get them cheaper. LOVE the vanilla almond. Tuna is good. Salmon comes in a packet too. But yes, it would be weird to sit down with those. There are these wonderful little flash frozen chicken breasts and tenderloins that I buy for quick chicken...I often bake or BBQ several at a time so I have leftovers for lunch the next day. Shrimp are good. Newman's Own makes a high protein pretzel. They are quite good and I don't think you'd know you're eating a "health food". Toasted soy nuts are less fat percentage per protein gram than some nuts. Beef or turkey jerkey has good protein (but you gotta watch the salt content). SV you might try the greek yogurt thang if you like yogurt at all. I see you eating cottage cheese....it's not that much different. Go for the low or non fat versions though as the full fat greek yogurt can really nail ya. CD- try adding some things to your smoothie such as cinnamon, or vanilla powder, or espresso granules, or mocha mix, or unsweetened cocoa. Just fun things to mix it up and make it less boring while not really adding too much to the caloric content.

and eggs. Eggs are good protein. You can always take along hard boiled eggs for snacks or make egg salad sandwiches, cut them up and toss them on salads, cook them and put them in breakfast type sandwiches....there's lots to do with them.

Ah yes, I should boil some eggs. (Actually, I have no idea how to boil eggs. Will get HC to do it for me.)

By carefully put the eggs in I take it you mean don't drop them in so that they hit the bottom of the pot and crack open. Got that figured out now.

Hey, you showed the ability to learn, that's good! Better than some men in the kitchen!! :) sometimes they will even crack open on their own while boiling....it just happens...and yes, they do still turn out ok.
